Desbandhu Sporting Union wins the Siliguri PS Zone Commissioners Cup Football

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 21^st February, 2021: In the Commissioners Cup Football tournament winner in the Siliguri Police Zone is Deshbandhu Sporting Union. In today’s final at Tarai Tarapada School Ground, that was played between Terai Morning Soccer Club and Deshbandhu Sporting Union. Finally, Desbandhu Sporting Union won the match against Terai Morning Soccer by 2-0 goals. The tournament was played within Siliguri Police Station zone and there were 9 teams participating. In the inauguration veteran players like Manjit Singh, Nadong Bhutia inspired the footballers. The trophys were handed over to the winners by the DCP of Siliguri Metropolitan Police East – I Mr. Jay Tudu. In this occasion the IC of Siliguri Police Station Mr. Sudip Chakraborty said “This tournament was organized to create integration among the people of the area”. Later on Football Jersey were also handed over to all the participating team members. The Champion and Runners up teams went up to play the Finals in the main Championship which is going to be held at Siliguri Police Commissionerate Ground at Mallaguri, Siliguri.
